This bag system gives us a much better root system for our plants. They lose their shape but that allows to put more mediumOverall, I love these bags! The only thing I didn't like is that at the end of the summer when I went to move them, the handles broke. The handles are helpful, but are minor in comparison to the quality of the rest of the bags for me. I really like the loops on the corners for support poles. Some said they wanted there to be a solid tab on the bottom to hold the supports, but I like them open. I had a several tomatoes that got so top heavy they were falling over. I had them in an area with dirt around the stepping stone they were on so I pushed the support into the ground and then they stood up just fine.I do wish they came bigger than the 10gal, hopefully they will some time soon! I have ordered more of all 3 sizes, not because they aren't still perfectly usable, but because I need more of them.I bought my first vivosun grow bags in 2021 and they worked so well for my tomatoes. I could move them around, very sturdy and durable. The one I bought in 2021 am using again this year so ordered the square 5 gallon and have tomatoes in them these bags are awesome and IMHO are the best. I am now ordering the 3 gallon bags. These are heavy fabric and durable. LOVE them.1st time ever using a grow bag for cucumbers, and a blueberry bush on my apartment balcony. I'm enjoying them thus far, pretty easy to maneuver and they will allow excess water to drain outThe package came very quickly. Nicely packaged. All pieces were in the order. As far as the grow bags are concerned, if you've ever bought that super sturdy professional grade weed blocker cloth, I'd say about a 1/16th of an inch thick, it looks like the bags are made from that. It's actually a cube. But they are stitched at the seams with nylon strapping material. I have never grown in these before, and I am planning on making these my herb garden because in SE Texas, we get rain, flooding and hurricanes. Planting in the ground is really a waste because your plants are typically drowned out. So, I am taking my regular garden and making that all raised beds and vertical gardens. Hardy plants like okra and sunflowers are going in the ground but everything else is going in grow bags, wicking tubs and earthboxes. You can grow a years worth of food in this planting solution without much space, so that's what these grow bags are for. I'll update as I discover more about my bags.Seems quite close in size to the 7 gallon, but. When you fill one from prepared bagged mix you will notice the difference. Volume goes up a lot faster compared to outside dimensions. The squareness is nice if you need to pack them into a grow booth. Unless you are growing the smallest of autoflowers (Blue Dream-matic for example) these will pack the plants in too tightly. Still, the squareness is nice for maximizing space in most grow booths.Handles are REALLY nice for maneuvering the filled and possibly plant-inhabited pot. Fox Farm Happy Frog, figure two per big bag.Water and air/oxygen through the sides seems to be about the same as the smaller bags, extra water will weep out or be sucked back in same as smaller bags. These are starting to get into the weight range of you may want to wait to move the pot/plant when the plant needs to be watered... move it THEN water it. A round bag may give a little better air/root ratio but at this size square works well.If you have the correct size square or rectangular planter these can be plopped into the planter and just top dress with some mulch or pebbles for the summer then take out the plants to move inside or whatever in the fall. Or otherwise aid in cycling plants through an accent planter throughout the year.I have not had these long enough but other round pots from this manufacturer have held up well in general. And one can't beat when emptied, these are easier to handle than hard side pots. They don't seem quite the right size for potatoes, some fingerlings might work in these. I find this a bit too short to get some real space for the potatoes to form up well.Used for tomatoes and peppers. There is no real problem with these, except you can find them in larger packages for 1/3 the cost.Hint. The square ones become round as soon as soil is added. Save yourself some money :)I received these on time. It is still too cold to plant, so the real test is then. I examined each one and they seem to be a good product. ( A note to the manufacturer. You need to teach your employees how to sew proper corners. You also need to teach them how to properly join the green trim. It's a shabby job that's done. Your stitch length is also too long. With it so long, I wonder how well they will last.) . A little disappointed as there are no drainage holes. The real test will come when I can actually use them and the rating will be adjusted if needed.mm Many people complain they don't keep shape, well of course not if you don't put any support poles at the corners as designed. These are made of fabric, therefore they have soft sides. If you want them to keep instant shape, get something rigid or hard sided..... I ordered a second set of these. The quality was very poor. On one of the bags, the stitching of the green trim was not done properly leaving a hole for dirt to fall out of. Very poor workmanship and because I'm in a wheelchair, I can't even get to a postal outlet to return it. What a waste of money. I have to say, this is very cheaply made and not to waste your money on it. The tabs for holding it square are not very well sewn on it. I already have them coming unsewn. Very. very poor quality. And since the bag is full of dirt. it can't be returned. All I can say is the manufacturer should be ashamed to sell such garbage.Love these new square bags! Never going back to round ones again! High quality, heavy duty bags they have slots for your bamboo sticks made into the bag so you dont have to put them in the soil. Nice big handles! would definitely recommend.Decent bags but the “square” shape quickly rounds out when full. You can’t just plop soil in and expect them to stay square, but if you give the sides a few taps with your hands, they easily take their shape and are most definitely square. They sit nicely in a group, being square and although they can get a bit heavy, they’re easy enough to move because the handles are sturdy and secure. I’m pleased with the product and have re-ordered more in different sizes. Would recommend. I hope to be moving in a few years and don’t intend to leave my berry canes behind, plus peppers seem to do better in containers vs my raised beds so I’m trying them bagged this year. Quite pleased so far.
