Description

Mammillaria mystax is a globular cactus, can grow up to 6 inches in height and 8 inches in diameter. The spine color is highly variable with whitish wool and bristles at axils. Rings of reddish-violet flowers appear in April and May. Native to Oaxaca, Mexico. Porous cactus soil with adequate drainage. Prefers bright light with ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost.
